Dr Emily Queenan grew up in Haverford, Pennsylvania in the suburbs of Philadelphia, where she returned for medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. She then moved to Rochester, NY for her family medicine residency at the University of Rochester; shortly after residency, she opened the first iteration of Queenan Family Medicine & Maternity Care, and had a flourishing solo family practice from 2009 until 2014. In 2014, worn out by the injustice of the American health insurance system, she closed the practice, and looked north of the border to a society that valued health care as a human right and not a commodity.
In 2015, Dr Emily Queenan moved from the States to Midland, ON with her husband, Rick Queenan, and their 3 sons, Rowen, Riley, and Aidyn. As a family, they enjoy spending time outside and going exploring together. Dr Emily Queenan enjoys all things active, including running, functional fitness, weight training, and yoga. She balances this activity with time for rest and centering by cultivating a regular mindfulness meditation practice.
Krista was born and raised in Owen Sound, ON, she moved to Springwater with her young family and laid down roots. She has always had a passion for helping others with 18 years of customer service under her belt. She loves spending as much time as she can at various sports fields cheering on her 2 children. Gardening has always been a passion of hers spending long summer nights tangled up in the vines of her vegetable garden.
